On Tuesday, May 12, a Bridgeport man was killed in a two vehicle crash on Interstate 95.
According to police, the accident happened at around 3 a.m. between I 95’s northbound Exits 22 and 23.
A car being driven by 19 year old Amairani Cuevas of Nichols Avenue in Stratford veered into the center land and hit a car being driven by 56 year old Robin King of East Haven. Both cars lost control and King’s car stopped on the shoulder but Cuevas’ vehicle crashed into a guardrail and fell down an embankment.
Cuevas was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center with minor injuries but one of his passengers, 19 year old Kastiry Collazo, of Park Street in Bridgeport, was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The other passenger, 20 year old Demonte Anozine of Ogden Street in Bridgeport was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
King suffered minor injuries and was taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center.
